VERY SMALL EQUINES
BC are now covering very small equines 11hh and under with insurance at club events and we are happy to accommodate them in our classes for the season ahead. If a two wheeled vehicle is being used grooms may be on foot in close proximity . I am awaiting clarification of other requirements and rules
DRESSAGE TEST CHANGES
We have been forced to change our Dressage tests from what was decided at the AGM. BC are no longer using the tests chosen and they don’t appear on the archive section we have had to change. The new test for the Beginners /Junior, Novice will be BC NOVICE A 2023
The Open and Multiples will do the BC NOVICE B 2023 this is the same as the old intermediate test except the two deviation movements they are now one handed.
ENTRY FEES
The SWSHDC know how tight finances are for everyone at the moment with the increasing day to day living costs and we fear how our sport will be affected by this and to what our attendance at events will be.
We are doing our best to help members by keeping our entry fees the same as last year . Unfortunately BC are requiring us to collect a start fee of £6.00 for a 2 day event and £3.00 for a 1 day event for there funds. Many clubs have tried to fight this charge to have this removed but to no avail.
Gordon Watson approached us to see if we could encourage competitors to compete at visiting clubs at the same entry fee without charging a non - member fee. This was discussed at the Domino afternoon with the members and everyone was happy to go ahead with that this year. Lets hope we get a few entries from visiting clubs I am sure our members will enjoy the challenge .
We look forward to seeing you all in the months ahead.
